With the optional new lockbar system, a lockbar extends the full height of the main door to enable full length secure locking. The postal lock is attached directly to the bar so that all compartment doors are fully usable. This is unlike the traditional locking mechanism whereby the postal lock occupies a compartment door, making it unusable for regular mail.

The front frame is extended 90mm to accomodate the lockbar.

While the interior variant of model 1200 is typically recessed into a wall, the exterior variant can be pedestal or wall-mounted. Note that pedestals for 8-high modules are shortened to 23″ to meet Canada Post height requirements.

Note that to meet postal regulations, the box top must not be higher than 67″, and the box bottom no lower than 18″, from the floor/ground.
